It’s 2022 and Christmas is finally behind us. The daunting task of removing decorations can be overwhelming and time-consuming. Also, you have to figure out what to do with your old tree if you had a natural tree in your house.

Lac La Biche County has got your worries covered and is running its Christmas Tree Recycling Program from January 3 – 14.

“Taking down the decorations from Christmas and have a tree to recycle?” Lac La Biche County stated. “For every tree that is recycled, we will plant a tree in a local park.”

Only natural trees with no decorations will be accepted. Rural residents can bring their trees to any County landfill or transfer station for free.

“Just call 780-623-6739 to arrange for pickup or bring your tree to a landfill or transfer station for recycling,” Lac La Biche County said.

Recycle your natural tree and help our environment.
