Vegreville RCMP on scene of a multiple vehicle collision blocking both west bound lanes of Highway 16

The Vegreville RCMP are currently on scene of a three vehicle collision.

This collision is currently blocking both west bound lanes of travel on Highway 16 at Range Road 125, east of Vegreville.

Cpl. Shawn Morgan is a Media Relations Officer with the Eastern Alberta District RCMP.

“Highway 16 westbound is blocked and traffic is being diverted. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes, if possible, well in advance of Range Road 125,” Cpl. Shawn Morgan told Lakeland Connect.

Traffic is expected to be impacted for several hours while the investigation and clean up is completed.

Injuries are reported; however, no further details are available at this time.
