The Town of Elk Point is advising residents that due to the extreme cold conditions, some public works services will be interruptd this week.

According to the Town of Elk Point’s Cold Weather Policy, the Town does not to operate equipment below minus 33 C. Given the cold weather this week, there may be interruptions to services such as garbage pick and snow removal.

The Town of Elk Point Public Works Department states that they will be picking up extra garbage bags by your bins when weather conditions permit.

“We appreciate your understanding and will do our best during this cold weather snap,” says Town of Elk Point CAO Ken Gwozdz.
