‘Twas the Night Before Christmas: Lakeland Connect edition

Published On: December 23, 2021By

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the lands, not a Lakeland Connect employee was stirring, finally free from Chad’s demands.

EJ was resting and enjoying self-care and hoping COVID-19 in Alberta would no longer be there.

Michael and Chris were settled all cozy in their beds, while visions of normalcy, beach vacations, and bonus cheques danced in their heads.

A Newfie employee Arthur in his sweatpants, enjoyed his nightcap, while Chad rested up free from sales calls with an afternoon nap.

While out in the world, there was so much chatter, Jena finally looked up from her computer to see what was the matter.

Away to the window, she flew like a flash, she heard Arthur talking Newfie to his mudder while Chis was still dreaming about combing Michael’s mustache.

When out in the parking lot to her wondering eyes should appear, it was Caitlyn with 12 dogs pulling Santa’s sleigh, not reindeer.

She whistled to the dogs, so lively and quick, Jena knew in a moment Caitlyn could make a good jolly St. Nick.

More rapid than COVID, their masks were the same. And Caitlyn whistled and shouted, and called them by name:

“Now! Spencer, now! Peanut, now! Molly, and Vixen, “On! Ranger, on! Toby, on! Dunder and Blixem;

To the top of the Lakeland Connect office they went, the leap was not small. Then Caitlyn yelled “Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!”

The sleigh took flight and they headed cheerfully over the Lakeland, but then Caitlyn’s phone rang, it was Chad with one last demand.

“I need you to head to town centre, it shouldn’t take much time from your flight, I need you to do a video wishing everyone Merry Christmas, then give away a gift card and say good night.”

Caitlyn quickly pushed disconnect.

Then shouted, “Merry Christmas from the Staff at Lakeland Connect!”
