Pontiacs implementing REP at upcoming home games
The Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs are going forward with the Restrictions Exemption Program at home games moving forward, the team announced on Monday.
This will begin Saturday, December 11 at the next Pontiacs home game against the Olds Grizzlys.
In a statement, the team says by going with the REP it will allow patrons a better gameday experience, while not having to limit total capacity in the RJ Lalonde Arena.
To enter the RJ Lalonde Arena on a gameday, people ages 12 and older must provide proof of vaccination at least 14 days from the second dose of a vaccine.
Alberta vaccine records with QR Codes (paper or digital) are now the only valid Alberta-issued proof of vaccination accepted by operators participating in REP.
People aged 12 and older can show proof of a negative test result within three days.
“The Bonnyville Pontiacs have not made this decision lightly and we appreciate your patience as we’ve navigated the best way to ensure the sustainability of the franchise moving forward. We hope to see you at the RJ cheering on your Bonnyville Pontiacs,” the statement reads.
The Yaks are on the road for a pair of games including tonight on the road against the Grande Prairie Storm at 7pm and Wednesday night in Whitecourt at 7:30pm. You can listen to the games at lakelandconnect.thedev.ca/pontiacs.
