Missing man last seen departing a hotel in St Paul

Police need you help to find a missing man last seen in St. Paul.

On October 29, 2021 at approx. 4:00 p.m. The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) was dispatched for a missing person investigation. Meharena Ghebreyesus (Known as Sammy G) was reported missing.

On October 4, 2021, at approx. 5:40 p.m. Meharena was last seen driving a Silver 2005 Ford Focus bearing Alberta licence plate CCB 2318 departing a hotel from St Paul, believed to be destined for Edmonton.

The investigation indicates he likely travelled north to the Smoky Lake/Waskatenau area and remained there until the early morning hours of October 5, 2021.

Eastern Alberta District General Investigation Section (EAD-GIS) has taken carriage of the investigation and is requesting information from anyone who may have seen his vehicle or spoken to Meharena Ghebreyesus between October 4, 2021 at 5:40 p.m. and the early morning hours of October 5, 2021.

Meharena is described as:

  • Dark Complexion
  • Approx. 6’3”
  • 160 lbs
  • Last seen wearing grey pants, black coat/shirt and white running shoes
