Kendelstick Park now open in St. Paul
Kendelstick Park is now open in St. Paul.
The new playground, which is located at 4309- 52 Street, has been installed and is ready for families to enjoy the Town of St. Paul recently announced.
Maureen Miller is the Mayor of the Town of St. Paul.
“The Town has identified play structures by safety, age and location to be replaced over the next few years,” Mayor Miller told Lakeland Connect. “Kendelstick Park was identified for this years project. The last playground structure at this location was approximately 20 plus years old.”
Mayor Miller says this location is directly on the walking trail and used not only by the many local residents but also those that are just out and about using the walking trail.
“A new bright playground structure at the cost of $105,000 plus the expense of the site preparation, engineered wood and rubber surfacing was placed,” Mayor Miller explained. “This is beautiful hidden gem will now attract more visitors to the park.”
The Town of St. Paul has a great selection of parks. There are 16 of them spread throughout the Town. Both RCMP Park and Crescent Park have basketball courts while tennis courts can be found at Kinsmen Park.
Lagasse Park, located along Lakeshore Drive, is the Town’s largest green space that is home to the Splash Park, two Playground Structures, Outdoor Fitness Centre, Basketball Court, two large Gazebo’s for gatherings and borders the walking trail.
In the winter months, the parks with a basketball court are flooded to allow for outdoor skating rinks.
