Lac La Biche RCMP seek public assistance in theft of over $10,000 of tobacco products

The Mounties in Lac La Biche need your help to find those responsible for a recent robbery in the hamlet.

On the morning of Sept. 30, 2021 the Lac La Biche RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter into the trailer of a transport truck on 101 avenue in Lac La Biche.

Cst.Cassandra Calverley is a Media Relations Officer for the Lac La Biche RCMP.

“The truck was parked at a gas station on 101 avenue during the night of Sept. 29, 2021,” Cst. Calverley said. “During this time the locks on the trailer doors were cut and the contents of the trailer were rummaged through.”

Cst. Calverley says an inventory of the truck was completed, among the missing items were cigarettes, and other tobacco related items with a total value estimated over $10,000.
