Acting on several complaints in the Blackfoot area, Peace Officers will be conducting increased patrols along Range Roads 13,14,15 and 20.
Kirk Hughes is the Director of Protective Services for the County of Vermilion River and says, “Heads up. Tell your friends.”
“It’s not always about enforcement, it’s about education and public safety,” Hughes stated. “We’ve gotten calls about excessive speed, distracted driving, unsafe passing of school buses and failing to stop at railroad crossings.”
Hughes says, these Range Roads have heavy traffic utilizing them, as well as several bus stops for kids going to schools in Lloydminster and Kitscoty.
“Slow down and pay attention,” Hughes said. “Road safety is community safety.”
