Alberta legislature reconvenes today
The Alberta legislature reconvened today to focus on getting through the fourth wave of COVID-19 and moving forward on Alberta’s Recovery Plan.
“This is a critical time for Alberta, both in terms of getting to the end of this fourth wave and accelerating Alberta’s positive economic momentum,” Jason Kenney, Premier said. “This session, we will introduce legislation to implement Alberta’s Recovery Plan, a bold plan to create jobs and diversify the economy, while continuing to limit the spread of COVID-19 and get more Albertans vaccinated.”

Alberta’s government says it will introduce legislation to strengthen Alberta’s workforce, diversify the economy, build infrastructure for the future, grow our resources and protect the lives and livelihoods of everyday Albertans.
“As we look to the future and chart the path forward on Alberta’s recovery and economic prosperity, the legislation introduced in this session will help fulfil our promises on affordable housing, conserving our environment and bringing more transparency to infrastructure spending,” Jason Nixon, Government House Leader said. “I look forward to working for Albertans with my legislative colleagues.”
Alberta’s government caucus says it is working with the official Opposition to ensure that MLAs are following the same practices expected of the public service in the assembly.
