The following is a special message from the Regional Director of Emergency Management Trevor Kotowich:

For the first time in over a year, I am pleased to report that the Region of St. Paul which includes both the Towns of Elk Point and St. Paul, the County of St. Paul and Summer Village of Horseshoe Bay have ZERO COVID positive cases. As of today, since the beginning of the pandemic, our Region experienced 949 cases, with 942 recoveries. Sadly, 7 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19.

Up to date information regarding COVID-19 for the Region of St. Paul and the Province can be found at:

COVID-19 Alberta statistics | alberta.ca

Alberta entered Stage 3 of the Open for Summer Plan on July 1st. All public health measures have been lifted, except for isolation/quarantine requirements and some restrictions in health care settings.

Albertans are legally required to:

  • Isolate for 10 days if you tested positive or have any core symptoms that are not related to a pre- existing illness or health
  • Quarantine for 14 days if you are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, and you are not fully

I would like to wish you all a safe and enjoyable summer where you can be with family and friends. I want you to also be mindful how dry things are out there, and be cautious with any campfires. Currently, the County of St. Paul is under a fire restriction, which means no open burning of grass, brush or trees.
