Cold Lake Fighter Jets kick off season July 17

The Cold Lake Fighter Jets will kick off their upcoming season on July 17. Fasten your seatbelts Lakeland Region football fans as the team is hyped to provide with heart-pounding action.

Head Coach of the Fighter Jets Dan Jubinville says “I expect a lot out of this team, where they haven’t played for a year and a half they will come with a little bit of tenacity and want to get out and play the game and play well.”

Jubinville says this year the season has been shortened because of COVID-19 protocol but kickoff weekend is July 17.

“It’s a four-game schedule and then into the playoffs, simply because of the timeline and where the bulk of the players come from,” Jubinville told Lakeland Connect. “Pretty much the end of August is the end of our season so we have to get it within that parameter.”

Jubinville says training camp kicks off this week.

“What we got on paper form right now we’re seeing our opening camp is good, it’s this week June 25 to 27,” Jubinville said.

Lakeland Connect would like to wish the Cold Lake Fighter Jets good luck on their upcoming football season.
