The RCMP has arrested and charged a man from Edmonton for recently stabbing two people in Bonnyville.
On June 5, at approximately 1:30 a.m., there was a 911 call of a reported fight at residence which resulted in two victims who were stabbed and who sustained life-threatening injuries.
According to an email from the RCMP, “Both victims were transported to Royal Alex hospital and are recovering from their injuries.”
A 34-year-old man, Christopher Podgorney from Edmonton, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count on possession of a weapon.
Podgorney was brought to the Justice of the Peace for the Province of Alberta to face the charges and released on a $1000 no cash promise to pay for court in Bonnyville on July 20, 2021.
