Mischief and assault charges for man trying to enter Bonnyville home
One person has been arrested after an altercation with homeowners in Bonnyville.
RCMP responded to a call just before 2:30am on March 31 that someone was breaking into their house on 53 Street.
Police said members attended and located two victims bleeding and the suspect heavily intoxicated with blood covering his hands. The door to the property was damaged, police said.
The suspect is known to the victims and police said there was an argument that led to an altercation, and then the suspects being “asked” to leave the residence. However, once outside, the suspect tried to force his way back into the residence, causing damage to a door and injuries from the force of the door being opened, police said.
None of the victims suffered any serious injury, police said.
Kyle Nadeau, 34, of Bonnyville was arrested and charged. He was brought before a justice of the peace and he was remanded for court on Tuesday.
He was charged with:
- Breaking, entering and committing – Residence
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
- Mischief under $5,000 – Damage to property
- Mischief under $5,000 – Damage to property
- Fail to comply with undertaking condition x 3
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
