Meadow Lake RCMP issued an emergency alert of a dangerous person at roughly 1:30pm and in about an hour’s time, the suspect has been arrested by police.

The person of interest is identified as 28-year-old Jordan Nelson, who has brown hair and is 5’9” and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black hooded jacket with the word “Northern” printed on the front.

He was last known to be carrying a large axe or edged weapon, said police.

The suspect vehicle is a brown four door Ford Fusion with Sask. plate 887 IGF, last seen travelling on grid roads north of Meadow Lake.

RCMP said the dangerous person alert is cancelled. RCMP arrested one adult male and the investigation is ongoing.
