École Notre Dame Elementary principal nominated for Excellence award
Lakeland Catholic Schools has nominated a local principal for a provincial award.
Kim Kaiser, principal of École Notre Dame Elementary, is the division’s nominee for the Excellence in Catholic Education Award as presented by the Council of Catholic School Superintendents of Alberta.
The award recognizes Catholic educators in Alberta who have done an exemplary job in preparing youth to grow into outstanding Catholic citizens.
In 2014, Kim Kaiser joined Lakeland Catholic School Division as principal of École Notre Dame Elementary School in Bonnyville.
Kim consistently brings a strong Catholic perspective to her work and she embodies servant leadership in every aspect of both her professional and personal life.
Kim and her family are members of St. Louis Parish in Bonnyville where they regularly attend mass. She has taken an active role in her parish as a member of the parish council and by leading the family ministries and organizing the Christmas pageant for the last seven years.
She has led the Youth Ministry at her church and taught sacramental prep classes.
She often volunteers to be a Eucharistic minister in her parish. These examples demonstrate that she is a strong Catholic role model in her values and lifestyle.
“Kim Kaiser is especially deserving of recognition for the Excellence in Catholic Education Award due to her outstanding commitment to her faith, the Division, parish, and community,” LCSD said in a release.
A nominee must be a practicing Catholic who is a certificated teacherteaching or working full time in a publicly funded Catholic school jurisdiction in Alberta.
