Wind warning for the Lakeland region

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring in the Lakeland region on Tuesday, January 19th, 2021

Strong winds are expected to develop early this afternoon. Gusts between 100 and 120 km/h are expected before the strongest winds subside overnight.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.

Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
