Tools stolen from construction site total $10K, RCMP investigate

Police are investigating theft of tools from an active construction site and shop in Bonnyville from the same morning.

RCMP were notified last Monday, Jan. 4 that tools belonging to Lauden Plumbing were stolen over the weekend at the Bonnyville Centralized High School site.

The tools are estimated to be worth roughly $10,000 and were secured in a toolbox at the time of the theft, RCMP said on Friday.

Police continue to patrol the area and ask the public’s assistance for any information.

Bonnyville RCMP also released information on Friday about another theft of tools that same morning.

A report of a break and enter at the CEDA shop described numerous items stolen, including a Dewalt Sawzal, a Dewalt hand held reciprocating saw, two Dewalt cordless drills, a circular saw, six Dewalt batteries, as well as a sandblasting protective hood.

The investigation is ongoing and any information the public may have about this occurrence can be reported to the Bonnyville RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
