Two men have been jointly charged with second-degree murder in the homicide of a 16-year-old boy from Goodfish.
RCMP Major Crimes Unit arrested and charged Sean Steinhauer (30) and Ryan Cardinal (32) last Friday, both of no fixed address, in a homicide that occurred on Oct. 2, 2020, police said.
Both accused were remanded into custody after a judicial hearing and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on Dec. 17.
On Oct. 2 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Smoky Lake RCMP said they were called to assist EMS on a call at Goodfish Lake.
Police said upon arrival at the scene that the male was deceased at the scene and identified as a 16-year-old.
