Brielle Thorsen Interview

This year's recipient of the prestigious Order of the White Rose scholarship is Brielle Thorsen, who is a member of Saddle Lake Cree Nation and has family in Goodfish Lake. Meredith connected with Brielle to talk about the scholarship, her future in engineering, and her experience becoming a voice for reconciliation at Queen's University in Ontario where she is currently studying for her Master's in Mechanical Engineering. The Order of the White Rose is a $30,000 scholarship awarded to a woman engineering student each year in tribute to the 14 women killed in the École Polytechnique Montreal massacre on Dec. 6 1989.
