St. Paul RCMP and the town’s peace officers teamed up to find and return stolen property from a homeowner earlier this month.
On the morning of Nov. 18, St. Paul RCMP responded to a break and enter into a garage that occurred overnight where a bicycle and tools were reported stolen, they said on Monday.
Police informed St. Paul’s peace officers of the items that were stolen and to keep an eye out during patrols.
Later that day at roughly 3:00p.m., one of the peace officers located the stolen items in an alleyway, and RCMP were able to confirm with the homeowner that these items were stolen from their garage and returned them.
“It is always rewarding when we can work with community partners and be able to return property to its rightful owner,” said Cst. Monnika Fehr, St. Paul RCMP.
“The peace officer program’s assistance and efforts do not go unnoticed or unappreciated within the detachment.”
