A Cold Lake man riding a motorcycle has died as the result of a collision.

On Tuesday at approximately 2:20 p.m., Cold Lake RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Range Road 415A (Baywood Road) in Cold Lake.

The RCMP’s preliminary investigation revealed a 35-year-old male from Cold Lake was travelling north on Range Road 415A on a motorcycle and passed two vehicles before a collision into a ditch occurred, police said.

The driver suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital where he was declared deceased a short time later.

Cold Lake RCMP along with an RCMP collision analyst continue to investigate.

The name of the deceased will not be released and no further updates are anticipated from RCMP.
