RCMP charge three people in shooting on Elizabeth Metis Settlement

Three people are facing charges after reports of a shooting on Elizabeth Metis Settlement on Sunday night.

Cold Lake RCMP responded at 11:30pm to a report of a residence being shot at several times.

Police responded to the area and two suspect vehicles were located.

RCMP began a pursuit and after using a tire deflation device, and help from Police Dog Services, they caught up with the suspects.

Michael Possberg (36) of no fixed address was charged with seven offences including, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, nuisance (endangering life), and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Tiara Marten (19) of Cold Lake was charged with flight from police. At the time of her arrest, she was wanted in relation to a previous incident, RCMP said.

Dale Cardinal (31) of Cold Lake was charged with flight from police and failing to comply with her probation.

The three accused were released after judicial hearings and are set to appear in Cold Lake Provincial Court on Sept. 23.
