New COVID-19 case reported in M.D. of Bonnyville

There is a new reported case of COVID-19 in the Bonnyville area on Tuesday.

The Alberta Government’s virus data map shows one active case and 10 recoveries within the M.D. of Bonnyville.

There is also one case currently in Cold Lake with five recoveries, one active in the County of St. Paul with six recoveries and one active case in Vermilion River County, which has seen 13 recoveries.

Two active cases remain in the County of Two Hills and one case of the virus in Smoky Lake County as well.

The province added 154 cases on Friday, 171 on Saturday, 137 on Sunday and 157 on Monday for a total of 619 since Dr. Deena Hinshaw’s last update.

Five new deaths were reported in the latest update, putting the death toll to 247.

Alberta has the highest number of active coronavirus infections since May 9.
