Cold Lake RCMP looking for suspects in homicide on Tuesday

Cold Lake RCMP are investigating a homicide after an autopsy report was conducted on Thursday.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit are assisting in the investigation which began Tuesday morning after a report just after 2:00am of a female that had been shot in a home on Cold Lake First Nations.

Police detained an adult male connected to this incident, but have since released him without charge.

An autopsy was completed at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Thursday which confirmed a homicide.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information regarding this homicide to contact the Cold Lake RCMP Detachment at 780-594-3302.

Police did not name the deceased.
