Vermilion Spray Park

Vermilion Spray Park opens Friday

After dealing with some maintenance issues, the Vermilion Spray Park will be opening for the season on Friday, July 17.

“I know a lot of children and families are looking forward to coming to the park and I think it will be a good thing for the community especially after COVID-19,” said Vermilion Provincial Park employee, Morgan Miciak.

The Spray Park is located within the Vermilion Provincial Park. The Spray Park is owned by the Town, but the park is operated by Alberta Environment and Parks.

Both entities had to make some of the maintenance decisions. For example the Town pays for the water which is a bulk part of the operations.

“It is a great partnership. The good thing about all of this is that COVID-19 is teaching us a lot of things like how to work together,” said Mayor, Caroline McAuley.

The Spray Park will be in operation daily from 10:00am-8:00pm.
