A Cold Lake man is facing drug trafficking charges after a Bonnyville RCMP and GIS investigation.

On Tuesday, Bonnyville members conducted a traffic stop in town on a male known to be wanted on outstanding warrants out of Bonnyville and Cold Lake.

Upon arrest of the male, police located a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and other items consistent with drug trafficking.

The male was arrested without incident.

Dennis Budenski, 49-year-old of Cold Lake, has been charged with the following offences;

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking;
  • Possession of proceeds of crime;
  • Failing to comply with the condition of a release order.

Dennis Budenski was brought before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody.

His next court appearance was scheduled for July 16, 2020 at St. Paul Provincial Court.

Dennis Budenski currently has a separate charge pending for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking methamphetamine, stemming from an investigation conducted by Bonnyville G.I.S. in August, 2018.
