Vermilion Town Office re-opens to the public

The Town of Vermilion staff were happy to be able to reopen Town office to the public on Monday.

They have resumed their regular business hours Monday – Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm.

“The reopening does come with some restriction which follow provincial guidelines and aim to keep the public and Town staff safe. While members of the public are welcome to come to the Town office we encourage the use of on-line payments, email and phone calls where possible,” said CAO George Rogers.

He said that plexiglass has been installed at their front desk along with a message reinforcing the importance of social distancing, and washrooms will be closed to the public.

Whenever possible, meetings will be held virtually, and council meetings will continue to be a blend of three in person members and three attending by Zoom.

Town Council meetings are open to the public again, but with limited attendance in order to allow for social distancing.
