Bonnyville RCMP looking for feedback on local policing issues

Published On: June 22, 2020By

Staff Sergeant Sarah Parke of the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment would like to hear from local community members in the area.

Instead of a rural crime meeting, she is looking for feedback from residents about policing issues in Bonnyville, M.D. of Bonnyville, Glendon, Fort Kent, La Corey, Iron River, Therien, and Kehewin Cree Nation.

Normally a town hall meeting would have been held in a local community hall. However, due to the current state of the pandemic this was not possible, the RCMP detachment said.

Starting next Monday for a two week period from June 29 until Friday, July 10, S/Sgt. Parke will be accepting input from community members through either regular mail or email.

If you are interested in participating, please reach out to S/Sgt. Parke at:

Bonnyville RCMP, 4515 – 54th Ave, AB T9N 0C2 or email: RCMP.KBonnyvilleDet-KDetBonnyville.GRC@rcmp-grc.gc.ca

Once the date closes, S/Sgt. Parke will review all of the correspondence received.

Later in July 2020, S/Sgt. Parke will respond to the top 10 issues and concerns as presented and publish her responses in the aforementioned communities’ web pages and local & social media.

S/Sgt. Parke would like to thank everyone in advance for taking the time to work with her to identify community concerns during this challenging time.
