A 29-year-old from Bonnyville is facing assault and mischief charges after a serious altercation earlier this month.
Bonnyville RCMP were called to a scene in town after a 28-year-old had been assaulted with a weapon sustaining serious, albeit non-life threatening injuries, including a cut to the left side of his head.
The victim was transported to hospital and with the assistance of a public tip the suspect was quickly located and arrested.
The accused, Nathan Kiely, was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released on $500 no cash release order.
He faces charges of assault causing bodily harm, failing to comply with release order conditions, and mischief under $5,000.
He’ll appear in court on July 28th.
