Nominate a grade 12 student for $1000 bursary
The Osum Leader of Tomorrow Award in the amount of $1000 is presented to grade 12 students in the Lakeland area, who have shown leadership by passionately serving their community or creating positive experiences for their peers.
This scholarship isn’t based on grades. It’s meant to show young people that the great things they do when nobody’s looking, or the acts of integrity they demonstrate when there’s nothing in it for them really are important.
“Compassion, leadership and integrity is what stood out for us when choosing the recipients of this year’s award, said Christi Clouter, Osum’s Communications Manager, in a 2019 interview with Lakeland Connect follow the announcement of last year’s recipients.
“The program provides both Osum and the community nominators a chance to acknowledge and support youth who we believe will go on to do great things.”
Since its inception, in 2012, 56 students have received the Award.
The Criteria
Any 2020 high school student graduating from a Cold Lake or Bonnyville high school with plans to pursue post-secondary education, is eligible to receive one of these awards.
Note: being nominated does not guarantee receipt of the award. Up to six (6) students may be selected as an Osum Leader of Tomorrow based on the nominations received. Application must be complete to be considered.
