Bonnyville RCMP investigating property thefts in town

The Bonnyville RCMP are reporting a series of items stolen from residents’ property.

In the mid-afternoon on Saturday, April 18, a resident on 48 Avenue reported a theft of 8000lb capacity winch.

The winch was last seen approximately two weeks ago, said police, and the theft is under investigation.

Last Wednesday, a resident on 34 Street reported their 2014 Blue Arctic Cat 550 CC quad was stolen from his yard.

Police said suspects appeared to have filled the vehicle with gas before taking it and the theft is still under investigation.

Around noon last Tuesday, a complainant on Highway 659, near Range Road 453 reported to police her son’s 1990 Yamaha TTR100 dirt bike was stolen sometime during the night or early that morning.

Any information on the theft of this dirt bike can be directed to the Bonnyville RCMP.

Police are also looking for information on a hit and run.

At noon on Sunday, April 19, a resident on the 4400 block of Lakeshore Drive reported an unknown vehicle struck his attached garage causing considerable damage.
