Kitscoty RCMP arrest two following tip from public
On March 31, 2020 at approximately 6:55 a.m., Kitscoty and Lloydminster RCMP responded to a call regarding two individuals leaving the scene of a break and enter at a self storage compound located north of the City of Lloydminster.
Police located and arrested the male suspects in the area and were assisted by RCMP Police Dog Services during the investigation.
“A quick call from the public to police was made regarding the two accused,” says Sergeant Corey Buckingham, Kitscoty Detachment Commander. “As a result we were able to respond to the area, make an arrest and stop the potential of any further offences from being committed.”
Reagan Racette (36) of Marsden, SK and Micheal Whitman (40) of Lloydminster, Alta., were jointly charged with break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle (x3), mischief under $5000 (x6).
Racette and Whitman were released from custody and are set to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on June 16, 2020.
