Bonnyville Health Foundation Gala postponed to later date

The Bonnyville Health Foundation’s 23rd Annual Gala has been postponed to a later date.

“The Bonnyville Health Foundation’s 23rd Annual Gala was scheduled for Saturday, March 28, but given the recent recommendations from public health agencies and provincial government, we have made the very difficult decision to postpone our event,” said the Health Gala Board of Directors.

“Up to 800 people were to attend as guests or volunteer for this year’s Gala in hopes of raising
approximately $200,000 for the Bonnyville Health Centre.

“This is a vital fundraising event for the local health centre and we have full intentions to find an opportunity to present the Gala 2020 at a later date this year.

“We will also postpone our Annual Trip raffle to accommodate the current travel advisories. As this is an unprecedented situation, please be patient with our Committee and Board as we re-organize
and accommodate any arrangements that need immediate attention.

“We wanted to ensure that you were one of our first to contact and hence this letter, but please note that we will also follow up with a phone call.

“Beyond this, please know that we will share dates, details and other important information as they
become available with you.

“In addition, information will be available on our website (www.bonnyvillehealthfoundation.org) and through social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.

“While we would love to have shared the beautiful event that has taken thousands of volunteer hours to bring to life this month, we fully recognize that helping to minimize the impact of COVID-19 on the greater community takes precedence.

“We hope that you and your loved ones stay safe through this difficult time. We are so lucky to have such a generous and compassionate community; thank you for your kindness and care.”
