Police after looking for more information after an attempted break-in at Red Rooster in Bonnyville.

Bonnyville RCMP responded to a two-hit alarm and grass break early last Monday morning at around 4:00am at Red Rooster.

The suspects did not get inside or steal anything, but police believe they planned the break-in attempt because the power was cut inside the building.

The alarm still went off when the suspect tried to enter.

“I’m assuming they felt that when they cut the power, like in the movies the alarms would be cut off too. As soon as the glass break alarm went, they took off,” said Bonnyville Sgt. Kim Hillier.

Members responded within minutes but the suspect had already left the scene.

Police ask if you saw anything in the early morning hours on Feb. 24 to call them at 780-343-7200.
