Clubroot workshop coming Monday for latest know-how on the crop killing disease

A clubroot workshop is happening on Monday at Flat Lake Hall.

The meeting from 10:00am-3:00pm covers topics of the patch management of clubroot, a research update on clubroot in Alberta, and a farmer’s perspective on clubroot management.

Those interested to register by today (Feb. 7) for the workshop.

There are a few featured speakers including Scott Keller farmer and agronomist from New Norway and Dan Orchard, agronomy specialist, Canola Council of Canada.

Local organizations including the Lakeland Agricultural Research Association and Agriculture Financial Services Corporation in St. Paul is involved with the workshop along with the M.D. of Bonnyville and County of St. Paul and they will provide updates within the municipalities.

Connie Cherniwch and Desarie Malysh from AFSC-St. Paul will also speak along with Alyssa Krone from Lakeland Agricultural Research Association.
