Juno award-winning musician presenting at local schools

Canadian rock star and Juno award-winning musician Mitch Dorge is bringing his In Your Face and Interactive presentation about responsible decision making to schools in Bonnyville on Wednesday.

Dorge’s innovative and interactive tour is being brought to local schools with financial support from The Co-operators Insurance, Choquet Insurance Group Ltd and their financial advisor, Gilles Choquet, and his agency.

“Teens face challenging situations every day. That’s why it’s so important to equip them with the tools and knowledge to make responsible choices. Mitch’s open and honest approach engages teens in the conversation, helping them focus on their decisions, and really understand the impact they have on others,” said Choquet.

Dorge, drummer for Canadian rock band Crash Test Dummies, has partnered with The Co-operators for more than ten years to bring his alternative, thought-provoking presentation to schools across the country. His honest and intense look at responsible choices also focuses on emotional well-being and encouraging youth to take steps towards reaching their goals.

“The Co-operators has a great reputation for really caring about the communities where they do business, so partnering with them for this tour was a natural fit,” said Dorge.

“We both want to find innovative ways to engage young people and offer them a different perspective to consider when making important decisions.”
