Latest rural crime town hall in Ardmore on Wednesday: “It’s a community issue”

Police from Cold Lake and Bonnyville will be available to take questions from the public on Wednesday.

RCMP are hosting a Rural Crime Town Hall in Ardmore at the Ardmore Hall from 7:00-9:00pm with the Reeve Greg Sawchuk, M.D. of Bonnyville Public Safety Department, and representatives from the Crown Prosecutor’s office.

Cold Lake RCMP S/Sgt. Scott Buchanan said the town hall is part of their community outreach and understands the level of concern people have.

“There’s a forum for interaction with concerned citizens or people want to find out more about what they do and what they can do,” he said.

“I think there’s more and more people who are being affected. Of course, they’re going to want to find out more or have input. I mean, it’s a community issue, so I hope the community comes to talk about it.”

Representatives from these groups will give a brief presentation followed by a general Q & A session with those in attendance.

This town hall is geared towards M.D. of Bonnyville residents.
