Assumption celebrates french culture

Assumption Junior/Senior High School hosted a French Programming evening at Beantrees on Monday evening.
The event was organized as a come and go evening for the French community and families of children in French programs.
Students showcased work and put on performances throughout the evening. Attendees had the opportunity to socialize and play board games with one another.
“Thank you to students who performed, made games for attendees to play, put on presentations about French culture or shared their artistic talents.” gushed Lakeland Catholic School District (LCSD), communications officer, Amanda Wildman, “Also, a huge thank you to all of those who took the time to attend the event”
The lead teacher organizing this event was Mme Cara Kelley a teacher at Assumption.
The program was made possible by a bursary from La Fondation franco-albertaine.
Wildman added, “thank you to Beantrees for supporting us in hosting the event in their venue.”
