Bonnyville police arrest man for leaving the scene of collision
Bonnyville RCMP arrested a 44-year-old Bonnyville man for leaving the scene of a single-vehicle collision.
Police received a complaint that there had been a single-vehicle collision last week where the driver left the scene on foot.
Fresh footprints lead back to the suspect’s residence.
After RCMP requested a telewarrant to enter a dwelling house and once inside the residence located 44-year-old Travis Slipchuk of Bonnyville and arrested him without incident.
Also located inside the residence was weapons and alcohol, all against is probation order and his firearm’s prohibition.
Slipchuk faces a total of nine Criminal Code charges and is set to appear in court on November 26 in Bonnyville.
