Lakeview Cemetery enhancements underway
The Lakeview Cemetery is going to see some upgrades over the next nine months.
“This cemetery is an important piece of our history, and deserved to see some improvements,” said Mayor Craig Copeland.
Improvements include an asphalt drive-through lane connecting 25 Street to the back cemetery lane; upgraded columbaria units; a paver stone walkway with memorial wall; bench seating, and planting upgrades. As well, a new sign will mark the entrance to the cemetery.
Construction began last week, with an expected completion date of July 2020. The contract for the upgrades was awarded to GenMec ACL.
