4 Wing conducting evening flight training next two weeks

CFB Cold Lake will be conducting training exercises during the evenings over the next two weeks.

From September 30th to October 3rd and October 7th to 10th, 4 Wing Cold Lake’s 410 Tactical Fighter (Operational Training) Squadron will conduct night flying training, near the City of Cold Lake. These flights should be landing by 11:30pm each night.

To remain responsive for day to day operations night flying is an essential training requirement for our aircrew and ground crew and vital to our mission success.

As mindful Lakeland community neighbours this type of training in not intended to disrupt. Always carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure public safety, this type of training provides valuable and legitimate training in a realistic environment.

Similar to real world operations, 4 Wing remains relevant to our modern combat fighter battlespace, it is part of the Fighter Force mission set.
