Cold Lake Wings Suspend Operations

The Cold Lake Wings announced today that it will be suspending operations for the 2019-2020 season.

In a statement today, a team representative stated “it is simply impossible to properly operate a business with 3 Junior teams in the same small market.

The Wings organization would like to thank it’s sponsors and fans for their support, and will ensure that all players who have shown interest in the team will be placed with other suitable teams.”

The news comes a day after office at the Energy Centre was cleaned out and it was rumoured that Troy Mick, previously announced as Head Coach and part owner, left the team.

It is unknown if the GMHL West Divison will continue without the Wings in the league.
