RCMP arrest four at Sobey’s grocery store in Bonnyville
Four people have been charged or will face charges after an arrest at the Sobey’s grocery store parking lot in Bonnyville.
Bonnyville RCMP, Bonnyville GIS unit, Cold Lake RCMP, Cold Lake GIS, Police Dog Services, and Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, took all four occupants of a stolen truck into custody on Tuesday night.
One was arrested in the store without incident.
The accused were driving a stolen truck and driving through multiple RCMP detachment areas before their arrest, said S/Sgt. Sarah Parke.
Twenty-three-year-old Dustin Harper from Onion Lake faces possession of stolen property over $5000 and disobeying a court order.
The other male believed to be the driver, 27-year-old Lonnie McAdam, faces the same stolen property charge plus operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited.
The two females arrested did not have their information sworn at publication time.
A 14-year-old female will face youth charges of possession of property and youth possession of methamphetamine, and an 18-year-old female will face possession of stolen property over $5000 charges.
The females were released on paperwork. Those charges have not been laid.
The court appearance for the youth is Aug. 6.
The two males were brought before a Justice of the Peace for bail hearings, the result of which is not known at publication time.
