ELK POINT: Notice of Public Open House

Inter-municipal Stormwater Management Plans

Summer Village of Horseshoe Bay/Town of Elk Point/County of St. Paul

The Summer Village of Horseshoe Bay, Town of Elk Point, and County of St. Paul are developing two inter-municipal stormwater management plans.  One plan is for the Summer Village of Horseshoe Bay and County of St. Paul, and the other is for the Town of Elk Point and County of St. Paul.  These plans will provide the partnering municipalities’ solutions to existing stormwater and flooding issues, along with updated servicing standards for proposed land development and protection of existing developments.

The Municipalities are holding two public open houses to collect observations and historical information on local flooding and drainage issues from residents.  Information on the public open houses is provided below.  Residents are encouraged to attend the open houses to provide their comments in person, and to submit a resident questionnaire, which is attached to this notice.

OPEN HOUSE #1 – ELK POINT

• Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Senior’s Centre in Elk Point
• Refreshments will be provided
• Door prizes, including an iPad, for providing a completed questionnaire

OPEN HOUSE #2 – HORSESHOE BAY

• Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Horseshoe Bay Community Hall
• Refreshments will be provided
• Door prizes, including an iPad, for providing a completed questionnaire
