Four suspects charged with second-degree murder in Darren Reid homicide

RCMP Major Crimes Unit has arrested four suspects from last week in relation to the murder of Darren Reid of Cold Lake First Nations.

Anthony Delorme (33), Jerry Herman (40) both of Cold Lake First Nations, Brandon Sanregret (26) of Cold Lake and Cy Sharp (23) of no fixed address have been charged with second-degree murder.

Their next court appearance will be in Cold Lake Provincial Court on June 12, 2019.

Cold Lake RCMP responded to reports of gun fire in the English Bay area of Cold Lake First Nations on the morning of Jan. 29.

Darren Reid was found at his residence and identified.

A follow-up autopsy was completed at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where the death was deemed a homicide.

RCMP say no further information will be released as this matter is now before the courts.
