Bonnyville RCMP recover stolen $130,000 boat, loaded firearms, and weapons during search warrant

On May 28, 2019, the Bonnyville General Investigations Section executed a Search Warrant at a rural property on Muriel Lake near Bonnyville in relation to information regarding the location of a stolen 2015 Super Air Nautique boat.

The boat had been stolen in Acheson, Alberta in April, 2019 and is worth approximately $130,000.00.

With the assistance of the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (EAD CRU) and the RCMP Auto Theft Unit (ATU), the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment located the stolen boat and trailer.

Also located during the Search Warrant were a loaded 12 guage semi-automatic shotgun, a loaded 9 mm semi-automatic rifle with a Prohibited magazine cartridge, body armour, and brass knuckles.

A male and female were taken into custody in response to this investigation.

The 30 year old male has been charged with possession of property over $5000, possession of property under $5000, alter a VIN, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, careless storage of a firearm (X2), unauthorized possession of a firearm (X2).
