Spring football has arrived and five boys from the lakeland will be playing in a football game with the province’s top young talent.

The U16 North team finalized their roster Wednesday on the squad that will take on the U16 South in the Junior Bowl in May.

The local selections were:

-Odin Smith from Elk Point, DL

-Duncan Critch from Ardmore, RB

-Benjamin Waters from Cold Lake, WR

-Logan Karenko from Cold Lake, OL

-Connor Critch from Ardmore, OL

These five players will take part in six practices before the inaugural Junior Bowl on May Long Weekend.

The camp will be used as development for the U16 Team Alberta en route to the 2019 Football Canada Western Challenge in Kamloops in July.

Last year, Duncan Critch and Kistin Watchmaker won gold with Team Alberta at the Western Challenge.
