Students participate in innovative dual credit program

Students from Lakeland Catholic School District, Northern Lights Public Schools and Aspen View Public Schools participating in an orientation for the Dual Credit Pre-Employment Heavy Equipment Technician program at Portage College in Lac La Biche on January 31, 2019.

“This course is made possible through a start-up grant from Alberta Education,” explained Communications Officer for LCSD, Amanda Wildman.

“Lakeland Catholic School District is taking the lead on this dual credit program. We would like to thank Portage College for this opportunity and for their continued collaboration and support.”

Students completing this program will earn a college certificate and a number of high school credits (15 credits) that can be used towards their high school diploma.
