Woman facing charges of assault with weapon after dispute last week

Bonnyville RCMP arrested a 22-year-old female who faces charges of assault with a weapon and breaching a recognizance after a dispute with her 23-year-old boyfriend.

RCMP attended a residence on the 4100 block of 49th Ave in the afternoon of Jan. 11 after hearing reports of fighting.

RCMP determined the female struck the male with an extension cord, said S/Sgt. Parke.

Her charges of assault with a weapon and breaching a recognizance are pending as of publication.

There is no court date as of this time.
